My firefox at home (on windows) does this, and I'm very annoyed about the fact that the one's here at uni on the linux distro DON'T do it. I hate how the "default" settings between the different ports of the same versions of firefox are different :/ I found your page by googling for 'ctrl left right firefox' after 20 minutes of fruitless searching for "url bar delimiting firefox" etc. It appears not many other people are bothered by this behaviour!
